  15. Distribution of unchanged versions:

  17.   You are NOT ALLOWED to take money for the distribution or use of
  18.   these files except for a nominal charge for copying etc.

  20.   Redistribution of unchanged files is allowed provided that all files
  21.   listed in the corresponding package README file are distributed
  22.   including this readme file.

  24.   If you receive only some of these files from someone, complain!

  26.   However, if these files are distributed by established suppliers as
  27.   part of a complete TeX distribution, and the structure of the
  28.   distribution would make it difficult to distribute the whole set of

  36. Generation and distribution of changed versions:

  38.   The generation of changed versions of the files included in the
  39.   packages is allowed under the following restrictions:

  41.   - You rename the file before you make any changes to it.

  43.   - You acknowledge the origin of the original version in the file and
  44.     keep the information that it (or a changed version) has to be
  45.     distributed under the restrictions mentioned in this file.

  47.   - You change the ERROR REPORT address so that we don't get error
  48.     reports for files *not* maintained by us.

  51.   The distribution of changed versions of the files inluded in the
  52.   packages is allowed under the following restrictions:

  54.   - You provide the user with information how to obtain the original
  55.     package or, even better, distribute it with your files.

  58.     prevents others to take money for distribution or use of your

  68.   Before you report an error please check that

  70.   - the error is not already mentioned in the *.bug file of the
  71.     distribution. (In this case it is a feature :-)

  73.   - the error isn't caused by obsolete versions of other software;
  74.     LaTeX from 1986 is a good candidate ...

  76.   - you use an original version of the package.

  79.   If you think you found a genuine bug please report it together
  80.   with the following information:

  82.   - version of the file
  83.  
  84.   - version (date!) of your LaTeX
  85.  
  86.   - a short test file showing the behavior with all unnecessary
  87.     coding removed.

  89.   - a transcript (log file) of the session that shows the error.

  108. You should get the following files:
  109.  
  110.   expdlist.doc     `expdlist' style for LaTeX, you have to run this
  111.                    through the docstrip.tex program to produce the
  112.                    corresponding style file.
  113.  
  114.   readme.rum       This File

  116.   install.rum      This is the installation script that will produce
  117.                    the executable files in this package and the driver
  118.                    files for the documentation.

  122. To produce the executable files please run install.rum through LaTeX or
  123. TeX, i.e., say
  124.  
  125.    latex install.rum
  126.  
  127. or whatever is necessary to run process a file with LaTeX on your
  128. system.  This will generate all necessary files. If you already have
  129. older versions of the files, the script will ask whether or not you
  130. want to overwrite those versions. Note, that the script calls
  131. docstrip.tex internally which is distributed in the doc package (MZ0).
  132.  
  133. This script will produce the following files:
  134.  
  135.   expdlist.sty  The expdlist style option for LaTeX.
  136.   expdlist.drv  The driver file for producing the english documentation.
  137.   expdlisg.drv  The driver file for producing the german documentation.

  140. To produce the documentation run the corresponding driver files
  141. through LaTeX.  You are allowed to change the driver files to get a
  142. special layout, etc.  To get an index and history listing run the idx
  143. and glo files through the program MAKEINDEX.  MAKEINDEX should be part
  144. of every LaTeX installation.
  145.  
  146. Please note that you need to specify a style file for MAKEINDEX:
  147.  
  148.    gind.ist   for the index file   (result should be named *.ind)
  149.    gglo.ist   for the history file (result should be named *.gls)
  150.  
  151. Sample invocation for Unix:
  152.  
  153.    makeindex -s gind.ist multicol
  154.    makeindex -s gglo.ist -o multicol.gls multicol.glo
  155.  
  156. The \fileversion and \filedate lines below are generated so that you can
  157. easily check differences from your version by using diff etc.
